The SitePack trademark
SitePack, the SitePack name and the SitePack logos are trademarks of SitePack BV. This page explains what that means, how you can refer to SitePack, and what needs our permission first.
In short
- SitePack and its logos are trademarks of SitePack BV, all rights reserved.
- Using the SitePack name or logos in your own branding needs our written permission.
- You can always refer to SitePack by name in plain, factual text.
- Partners, press and anyone else can ask us for approval, we are happy to talk.
- If our brand is misused, we act, from a friendly notice to enforcing our rights under Dutch and European law.
Our trademark rights
The name SitePack, the SitePack word mark and the SitePack logos are the property of SitePack BV. They are protected by trademark and other intellectual property rights, and all rights are reserved.
These rights cover our name, our logos and the visual identity of our platform, whether or not a particular mark is shown with a trademark symbol.
What needs our permission
You may not use the SitePack name, logos or brand in a way that suggests we endorse, sponsor or are affiliated with you, your product or your service, unless we have agreed that with you in writing.
Without our written permission, please do not:
- Use the SitePack name or logos in your own product, company or domain name
- Alter, recolour or rebuild our logos, or use them inside another logo
- Use our brand in advertising, packaging or merchandise
- Register the SitePack name, or a confusingly similar name, as a trademark, domain or account handle
- Suggest a partnership or endorsement that is not actually in place
When you may refer to SitePack
You can always refer to SitePack by name in plain text to describe or discuss our platform, for example in an article, review or comparison. That kind of honest, factual reference does not need our permission, as long as it is clear that SitePack is our brand and not yours, and it does not imply that we endorse you.
Using our logos, or using our name as part of your own branding, is different and does need our approval.
Partners and agreed use
We work with developers, marketing companies and agencies, and we are open to letting partners use our brand within the terms we set together. Where we have a partnership or a written agreement in place, use the SitePack name and logos exactly as that agreement describes.
If you would like to use our brand, become a partner, or you are writing about SitePack and want approved assets, get in touch and we will help.
Request permission
To ask for permission to use the SitePack name or logos, email us at support@sitepack.eu. Tell us who you are and how you would like to use the brand, and we will come back to you. In many cases a short conversation or a simple written agreement is all it takes.
Report a violation
If you see the SitePack name or logos being used in a way that looks unauthorised, or in a way that could confuse customers, please let us know at support@sitepack.eu. It helps us if you include:
- Where you saw it, with a link, screenshot or address
- Who appears to be using it, if you know
- What looks wrong to you, for example a copied logo or a false claim of partnership
Good to know
We would always rather solve things by talking first. Most cases are cleared up with a friendly message once someone understands that our brand is protected.
How we deal with misuse
SitePack is a Dutch company, and our name and logos are protected under Dutch and European trademark and trade name law. When someone uses our brand without permission and does not stop when we ask, that law gives us real options to put an end to it.
We normally begin with a clear request to stop, often a formal notice, so the other party has a fair chance to put things right. If that does not work, we can take further steps, such as:
- Send a formal notice asking the other party to stop and remove the infringing use
- Ask a Dutch court for an order to stop the use, on penalty of a financial fine for every further breach
- Claim compensation for the damage we suffer, or the profit made from the misuse
- Have infringing goods or materials recalled and destroyed
- Challenge a conflicting domain name or trademark registration through the appropriate procedure
Good to know
This page sets out our position and is not legal advice. It does not limit any rights we hold under Dutch, Benelux or European law, and if we choose not to act in one case, that does not mean we give up our rights in another.
