Accept PayPal in your webshop
Short answer
With SitePack Payments you offer PayPal in your webshop next to cards, SEPA direct debit and Wero. You connect your own PayPal business account, and SitePack charges 0.15 euro per PayPal transaction on Online Store Starter and 0.13 euro on Grow, on top of PayPal's own fees. Merchants in the Netherlands and Belgium can also use PayPal without an account of their own.
Why offer PayPal
Many shoppers want to pay with PayPal, especially in Germany, and some leave a checkout that does not offer it. They log in with their PayPal account and pay without typing in card details. Offering PayPal next to cards, SEPA direct debit and Wero lets each customer pay the way they prefer.
- A payment method many shoppers already use
- No card details to type in at the checkout
- Works next to cards, SEPA direct debit and Wero
- One checkout and one overview of all payments
Two ways to offer PayPal
Most merchants connect their own PayPal business account. PayPal then charges its own fees, and SitePack adds a small fixed amount per transaction. Merchants in the Netherlands and Belgium can also choose PayPal Collecting, where SitePack processes the PayPal payment for you and no PayPal account of your own is needed.
- Your own PayPal business account: 0.15 euro per transaction on Starter, 0.13 euro on Grow, plus PayPal's fees
- PayPal Collecting, Netherlands and Belgium only: 0.55 euro plus 3.95% on Starter, 0.52 euro plus 3.85% on Grow
- All SitePack rates exclude VAT
What PayPal itself charges
When you use your own PayPal business account, PayPal deducts its fee from each payment. In Germany a PayPal Checkout payment costs 2.99% plus 0.39 euro according to PayPal's fee table of 7 September 2026, and rates differ per country. Our guide on PayPal fees for merchants shows worked examples.
